Refinery Mechanical Engineer

Leading integrated energy company is seeking to fill the position of Refinery Mechanical Engineer at its San Francisco Bay Area Refinery.  If you are qualified and wish to advance your career in this challenging position, please e-mail your resume in MS Word or Adobe PDF format. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive technical assurance of rotating equipment in order to ensure the integrity, reliability and sustainability of all machinery assets; Develop and implement the site's daily and long-range mechanical reliability; Lead and establish the mitigation process for eliminating bad actor rotating equipment; Mentor and train other personnel within the site's machinery skill pool with regards to rotating equipment machinery technology, maintenance applications, troubleshooting, specs and standards and overall technical assurance requirements; Review and authorize maintenance/overhaul plans for rotating equipment; Provide technical assurance reviews of new and/or upgraded rotating equipment submitted through Area Engineers and Capital Projects; Provide the lead role in troubleshooting and authorizing mechanical shutdown recommendations of critical rotating equipment. Requirements: Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for any employer; Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; 7 or more years rotating equipment field experience to including troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of hydrocarbon processing machinery; 3 or more years of experience in centrifugal and reciprocating compressor maintenance, repairs and performance management, along with strong knowledge of specifications and best practices as well as API codes related to rotating equipment; Strong knowledge in Mechanical Seals; applications and seal flush plans; Familiarity with root-cause-analysis techniques; Familiarity with machinery condition monitoring, including vibration analysis and beta analysis (reciprocating compressors).     MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
