Position Description:Chevron Corporation is one of the world’s leading energy companies. Chevron Energy Technology, a division of Chevron U.S.A., is accepting online applications for the position of Reliability University Learning Management System Administrator located in Houston, Texas through May 10, 2008.Overview:This position reports to Facilities Engineering Training and Competency Program Manager. This position manages Global Reliability University Course Offerings, Enrollment & Financial Billing Processes. Supports the Reliability University (RU) Program Leader and provides complete learning management workflow support for RU. This position also supports RU Program Leader & Program instructors in managing post class student feedback survey process for all RU Course offerings. Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Sets up all RU courses and learning events using basic & advanced features of Chevron’s Learning Management System (LMS) and in accordance with LMS governance protocols and processes• Serves as contact point for all RU courses & learning events in LMS providing front-line support for RU learners in the global RU course offerings. May also be required to coordinate support for and tracking of learners who cannot access Chevron’s LMS• Manages communications with RU students & supervisors globally as regards enrollment processes & student billing including securing exception charge codes & Work Orders as required to support all open enrollment registrations• Provides course rosters to instructors, following up with instructors to make sure they are returned for close-out of classes, & maintaining records. Closes out classes in LMS thereby updating employee training records • Facilitates RU course event billing by providing final post class rosters monthly to ETC Finance including charge codes & Work Orders. Follows all ETC billing processes & procedures to help ensure RU courses billed timely and accurately & supports RU’s budget tracking requirements• Generates reports from LMS to track & communicate RU student registration statistics to RU Program Leader. Also, compiles, analyzes and creates quarterly RU stat summary report & presentation for ETC Organizational Capability (OC) Manager to be included in ETC-wide OC program reports & presentations • Provides backup support for RU training logistics admin position & other FE OC LM Admin positions for vacation and training relief• Participates in regular (monthly) ETC LMS Administration meetings and proactively networks with other administrators to share and learn best practices• Be proactive in completing initial and ongoing training and competency assurance processes for LMS certification• Works in partnership with ETC LMS Leader & LMS Super Admin in complying with all corporate and ETC-specific LMS governance protocols and processes to validate & maintain LMS data integrity• Creates feedback survey for each course event using Chevron’s survey tools. Send to participants timely after each course event communicating survey process & timelines and serving as contact point.• Compiles & analyzes course event survey data, generate reports of data, & distribute to RU Program leader & instructor timely so that feedback can be incorporated in next course offerings.• Compiles, analyzes and creates summary reports that communicate feedback trends and will be used for continuous RU improvement and shared in RU stakeholder communications. • Other duties as assigned Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent• Strong written and oral communications skills• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or Training & Development (In lieu of degree candidates with minimum of 5 years work experience in training or event management will be considered)• Web (front page/html), SAP/MDT, General database or experience with Knowledge Planet or other Learning Management/Training Management Systems desirable• Self motivated• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously• Demonstrates effectiveness in working with others in a multifunctional, global team environmentRelocation Options:• Relocation assistance will not be considered for this positionInternational Considerations:• Expatriate assignments will not be considered for this positionEOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-TX-Houston Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Education/Training
