Revenue Assurance Data Analyst

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Revenue Assurance Data Analyst is a functional analyst for Retail issues within the deregulated electricity market in Texas. This individual performs the evaluation, analysis and dispute resolution of Retail Electric Provider (REP) data activities. The Revenue Assurance Data Analyst is expected to know the workings of the Ista Billing System, Texas SET EDI and Market protocols.

 

Essential Job FunctionsWork with Supply group to maintain correct customer account status within billing/forecasting systems.Document the departmental processes and provide input and analysis on how to create/implement improvements.Clear exceptions from on-line enrollments website.Operate interface mechanisms for posting, tracking, and status reporting of retail enrollment/transaction related issues. Provides rapid response to resolve requests from Market Participants. Resolve issues/disputes within the internally defined timelines. Validate and verify incoming/outgoing Market Participant data. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and other Market Participants. Assist with the monitoring of system interfaces. Maintain working knowledge of Market operations needed to support internal business needs. Subject matter expert supporting teams with Ista enrollment, transaction, and billing issues.

 

Experience and Educational RequirementsAssociate's degree or a combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered. Proficient computer business application skills with Excel, Word, Visio and Project.Proficient SQL writing or MS Access skills.Excellent analytical abilities and able to perform root-cause analysis. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task with the ability to plan and complete work with little supervision. Working knowledge of electric utility operations desired.
