Revenue Forecast Analyst

Role: 

This position performs various assignments pertaining to the development of daily, monthly and annual electric and gas load forecasts.  Develops system, regional and substation peak load forecasts and line loss studies.  Performs weather analyses and develops design standards evaluating their impact on load.  Runs computer simulations and prepares customer usage reports to support load forecasting and market analysis functions.

 

 

 Essential Functions

-Develops gas and electric load forecasts for short term, mid term and long term using specially developed modeling techniques.
-Prepares sales forecasts.
-Provides technical and analytical support in collecting, verifying and analyzing data.  Runs computer simulations and develops solutions in support of load forecasting and market analysis functions.
-Collects data and coordinates research projects with relevant stakeholders including -Analyzes weather data, develops extreme weather scenarios and design standards, and evaluates their impacts on seasonal and peak day consumption of gas and electricity.
-Provides assistance in collecting and reporting information pertaining to load research and market analysis areas.

 

 Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Requires sound knowledge of statistical or econometric modeling, strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with good oral and written communication skills.  Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office tools and database management) and some commercially available forecasting and statistical software programs preferred.

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Science, related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
