SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH COORDINATOR
Tri-State is a Denver based progressive non-profit, consumer owned, wholesale supplier of electric power to 44 distribution cooperatives in CO, WY, NE and NM. With over 1100 employees, Tri-State operates and maintains fossil fuel power plants including Craig Station which is a three unit coal fired 1200 megawatt facility.
Position is based at Craig Station, Craig, CO.
Responsible for coordinating Safety and Occupational Health (S&OH) programs, and providing assistance to the staff at the Craig Station near Craig, Colorado.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or safety and occupational health or closely related field or equivalent experience.Seven (7) years of experience associated with industrial operation and maintenance, including five (5) years in utility generation or equivalent experience.Experience in equivalent related safety and/or occupational health activities is essential.Assist in the development and implementation of S&OH goals and objectives for the Station.Participate in the development of specialized programs related to S&OH.Provide S&OH information for the preparation of periodic S&OH reports and communication to management and employees.
