We are currently searching for a SITE SUPERVISOR. This position’s primary role is to supervise W&ESCO construction project(s) and assist the Technical Services Division when needed. This position may require extensive, long-term travel to various locations for audit work, pre-construction activities, evaluations, training, inspections, and construction management.

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


*Coordinates all field activities, including pre-construction verifications and measurements required to insure job progress and quality.
* Quality Control: Inspect and review construction daily.
* Interprets plans and specifications for proper field installation by construction trades.
* Coordinates, with the Senior Project Manager(s), jobsite subcontractors, client personnel, and building materials delivery, daily and hourly.
* Completes weekly status reports for Vice President of Construction and/or Senior Project *Manager(s), in addition to daily log reports. These reports are due on Thursday, unless notified.
*Oversees and reviews subcontractors as to performance and quality of construction, and takes necessary steps to maintain both quality and speed.
* Assists when miscellaneous construction activity is required.
* Visits multiple job sites as directed by job activity, if needed
*Prepares building schedules for Vice President’s and/or Senior Project Manager’s review.
* Arranges and assists, if needed, to have miscellaneous construction material unloaded and protected.
* Coordinates with the County/City Building Inspector for the permits, inspections, and follow-up of inspection reports for complying with building codes.
* Secures and locks up job sites or finished structures for protection.
 Supervises construction safety standards, with weekly “toolbox” safety meetings with all subcontractors
*Responsible for commissioning procedures being implemented and logged appropriately
* Works with Training Dept to ensure that maintenance and resident training (both pre- and post-project) scheduled, implemented, and pertinent to individual project scope.
* Builds and maintains warranty notebooks on all installed materials for customer warranty
* Assists Technical Services Dept. with audits, walk-thru’s, training and testing when needed.
* Prepares billing documentation for construction pay requests and initiates change orders and allowance authorizations. Ensures that installation paperwork properly filled out and submitted by subcontractors. Reviews and approves pay requests for subcontractors before submitting them to home office for payment
* Works with Vice President of Construction, Senior Project Manager(s), and technical services dept. on cost estimates (pricing) for materials and sub-contractors bids on all projects.
* Must be very familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
* Position requires ability to correspond well, both verbally and in writing, with clients. Spelling and grammar skills are essential, as is a professional demeanor. Must work closely with Sr. Project Manager(s) to maintain communication lines with all project participants.
* Reports any issues that progress past the “phone and email” stage to the Customer Service Dept., to ensure proper company response to any major issue
* Strong construction background mandatory
