SPECIALIST - SAFETY COMPLIANCE

 

Washington Gas, one of the area's premier utilities, has an immediate opportunity

at its Springfield Operations Center for a Senior Safety Compliance Specialist.

In this important role, you'll develop and monitor safety programs and procedures

associated with various work functions to ensure compliance with regulatory

requirements and company policies.

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years direct safety-related

experience. A strong working knowledge of OSHA, local safety codes and standards,

and safety industry best practices is required. Knowledge of construction operations and

procedures and DOT FMC/CDL requirements is helpful. Proficiency in the operation of standard

computer software programs to research and share business information and to develop

documents and presentations is necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication

skills are a must.
