SUPPLY CHAIN ADVISOR, DRILLING & COMPLETIONS SERVICES - Oil & Gas Exploration & Production

Growing independent exploration and production company with both domestic and international operations is seeking a Supply Chain Advisor, Drilling & Completions Services for their Global Supply Chain business unit located in Houston, TX.


POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide supply chain support and tactical execution for strategic sourcing and contracting activities related to drilling and completions consulting and engineering services. 


ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop, implement and manage sourcing strategies and contracting activities for drilling and completions consulting and engineering services that can be administered on a global scale. 

· Analyze supply market intelligence and monitor market trends for drilling and completions consulting and engineering services.

· Collaborate with Supply Chain Account managers to understand internal customer business requirements and to identify and prioritize strategic sourcing projects to support these business requirements.

· Lead the market approach for consulting and engineering services sourcing strategies including sourcing strategy selection, determination of eligible suppliers, coordination of the overall sourcing process, evaluation of commercial and technical proposals and negotiation and execution of contractual documents.

· Lead strategic sourcing projects using the seven step sourcing process (analyze spend, assess requirements, analyze markets, develop strategy, negotiate agreements, plan/implement, manage)

· Develop key performance indicators for consulting and engineering services and manage contractor performance as required.

· Work with the Global Supply Chain Team to ensure supply chain management best practices are identified / applied and that corporate leverage is gained where possible.

· Build strong working relationships with Global Supply Chain team members and internal customers.

· Prepare appropriate supply chain and contracting documentation.

· Ensure compliance with industry and company policies and procedures

· Negotiate legal and commercial terms to achieve optimum results and follow through to award and execution

· Perform both tactical and strategic functions related to Purchase Orders and Contracts


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

· Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including strategic sourcing, market analysis, contracting methodologies, risk analysis, principles of contract law and supplier performance management.

· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization.

· Ability to apply sourcing strategy philosophies.

· Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, establish targets, and develop implementation plans in support of business objectives.

· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Strong networking, interpersonal and teamwork/collaboration skills.

· Strong influencing and negotiating skills.

· Good communication and presentation skills.

· Strong written, verbal (English), and PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, and Project)


EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum 3 years experience related to supply chain management.

· Experience in Exploration & Production operations preferred.
Working knowledge of SAP and e-Procurement tools preferred.


EDUCATION/TRAINING:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline required.

· Professional Supply Chain or Procurement Qualification preferred.
