This position will be responsible for daily review and analysis of Retail Link data to identify opportunities and develop plans to grow profit and volume for Wal-Mart.  Position will assist with monitoring of action plan with customer, or internal Wal-Mart.

 

Essential Functions, but not limited to:Utilize Wal*Mart’s online software application, Retail Link, to analyze the sales of products at retail, and distribute those results through weekly internal reports. Work closely with Wal-Mart sales representative to assist in the goal of revenue generation, and create reports to support sales tracking and analysis. This will also include several other major vendors such as Walgreens, Lowes and Home Depot.Maintain a balance between qualitative and quantitative inputs to develop optimal SKU level forecasts with respect to customer expectations and inventory level objectives. Measure, track and report on forecast accuracy Monitor Wal-Mart scorecard, as well as other major vendors, and suggest ways to improve performancePerform as a liaison between all departments, including Sales, Operations and Customer Service toward issue resolution.Continuously seek out creative ways to improve our business data collection and analysis process.Design new approaches for promotional analysis and suggest ideas for continuous improvements to the forecasting process. Identify opportunities by analyzing POS data provided by various accounts Identify customer and competitor trends in the industry Provide weekly POS reports for all major accounts to Sales and Marketing Departments

 

Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor's degree required (preferably in business/marketing).

Experience: 3-5 years, minimum 2 years Retail Link experience

Special Skills and Other Requirements: Understanding of how to analyze sales data and forecast. Wal-Mart Retail Link and replenishment systems experience a plus. Requires in-depth knowledge of Wal*Mart's Retail Link, Decision Support System, SWAS and CPFR.  Prior experience with imports required Prior experience with Vendor Management InventoryStrong organizational skills to prioritize and utilize timeStrong basic math ability requiredStrategic thinking and problem solving skills requiredDecisive; analytical – gather data, draw conclusionsMust be results oriented and a problem solverMust possess a high level of professional verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with all levels of Wal-Mart and internal management team.

Specific Account Experience: Extensive experience with Wal-Mart is a must.  Experience with Lowe’s, Walgreens and other major Vendor websites a plus.

 

Retail Link Experience: In depth working knowledge of Wal-Mart Retail Link.

 

Category Background: Prior forecasting or planning experience in consumer products or retailing industry a plus. Prefer experience selling brand name merchandise

 

Overall Computer Skills:  Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
