Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation I

Join our team and let Graybar work to YOUR advantage! RESPONSIBILITIES: Handle automation application of moderate to large complexity sales volume and provide pricing and quotations to customers. Provide technical support of automation and control products internal/external personnel and specify products to meet customer requirements and needs. Recommend inventory of automation products and inform sales staff and customers of new developments in automation and related products technology. Provide technical services to customers for the use of operation and maintenance of automation equipment. Attain or assist locations to exceed sales and profit budgets. Provide internal and customer training of automation products and services and train sales staff on the technical aspects of automation products, drives, and related products. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferredExperience: Five years’ with progressive sales and marketing experience preferred.Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of automation sales, marketing, and processes preferred. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in the application of engineering principles and to clearly present complex data to non-technical staff. Advanced oral and written communication skills with the ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Will require onsite customer visits. Knowledge of vendors automation products and Graybar’s operations a plus.
