Sales Representative

 

 

Our HVAC division of our Company has an opening for a Sales Representative to be accountable for the equipment sales in the residential market, within an assigned territory in Rhode Island, superior customer relations with existing and new customers as well as expanding customer base and acting as the primary customer contact.

 

Tasks, Duties, and Accountabilities

·  Prospecting for potential new clients – company marketed and company scheduled leads.

·  Pricing/estimating residential heating, cooling, domestic hot water, and fireplace products

·  Negotiating and closing bids

·  Work closely with Sales Manager reviewing potential bids and developing effective strategies. 

·  Complete all required company documents, forms, and computer input screens in a timely and accurate manner.

·  Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers to promote a positive image for the company.

·  Recommend and sell HVAC equipment to residential customers achieving $1 million sales in first year

·  Consistent and effective use of Company’s Achieve Global Selling System.

·  Develop solid working relationships with other company departments to assure a high quality of customer service.

·  Incumbent must be available to work non-traditional hours such as Tuesday through Saturday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

·  A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience desired.

 

Experience:

 

·  Two to three years sales experience

·  Demonstrated track record in developing new businesses, sales territory development, self-starter with high aspirations and motivation. 

 

Technical Skills:

·  Proficiency in the utilization of  Microsoft Office

·  HVAC product and sales experience a plus

·  Familiarity with gas industry, marketing/sales policies and procedures

 

Behavioral Skills:

·  Strong communication (written and verbal) skills

·  Ability to work as part of a team

·  Strong time management skills

·  Must be goal oriented, self-motivated and customer focussed.
