Senior Completion Engineer

My client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Completion Engineer to join their team of senior professionals focused on crafting the next generation of reservoir-specific solutions. Year-end and long-term incentive bonuses are tied to the successful application of these solutions. Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will work within a senior multi-discipline team using leading-edge well construction technologies and best practices to evaluate and exploit opportunities in order to create significant improvements in recovery efficiency, well productivity, and development cost. Key targets include stacked tight gas sand, gas shale, naturally fractured reservoir, and coal bed methane developments which benefit from application of innovative drilling and completion technology within the context of advanced geoscience interpretation and past exploitation understanding.

The Senior Completion Engineer will support project evaluation work by providing offset well / analog field analysis and innovative well engineering. The job will involve coordination with various service company specialists to provide best-in-class well designs, completion / workover procedures, production enhancement proposals, and related cost estimates. Important focus areas include optimizing completions in low permeability, multi-zone fields requiring pinpoint fracture stimulation treatments, stage fracing horizontal completions, and designing complex well architectures. Requirements: 

The ideal candidate must have at least an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience on technically challenging well construction projects. They will be challenged to research critical topics pertinent to the project evaluations they are supporting, to be creative, and to take advantage of everything my client has to offer in terms of technology, global best practices and local knowledge in crafting each reservoir-specific solution. This will be a significant learning and professional growth opportunity since the successful candidate will work on a number of vastly different project evaluations each year in many of the industry's hottest plays.
