Senior Consultant-Environmental/Solid Waste

Malcolm Pirnie is seeking a senior engineer/scientist with solid waste management experience for our Ft. Lauderdale, FL office. We are looking for an experienced individual to provide client management, project management and technical expertise for local solid waste management clients. Candidate must have experience in the solid waste industry, with some preferred areas including landfills, recycling programs and facilities, resource recovery facilities, and materials recovery facilities. This individual will be expected to provide support in a broad cross-section of solid waste projects, and will be required to:'XAssist in client management and business development activities with existing local solid waste clients;'XAssist in the coordination and execution of solid waste management consulting efforts; 'XLead multidisciplinary teams in the execution of a variety of solid waste management consulting projects;'XManage project budgets, schedules and invoices;'XPrepare scopes of work and budgets;'XProvide technical quality assurance and review of design and permitting documents;'XPrepare reports and technical memoranda;The position requires the ability to plan, coordinate, communicate, and work as a team member. This position is hands on project management and requires strong writing, technical, and interpersonal skills with significant client interaction. The candidate will also be required to support business development activities and supervise junior level staff. Ten years experience in solid waste related field. Related industry experience will be considered. B.S. degree in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering or related educational background. Masters preferred. Licensed Professional Engineer preferred. EOE
