The company is in a vibrant and growing industry and is well positioned to increase market share and grow its product line. The company is housed in two facilities totaling 18,500 square feet facility and employs 40 people.

 

 

Its success in this business has allowed it to expand its product offering with medium voltage switchgear.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will be assisting Crown in the development of our switchgear capabilities. This will be a full time position. However, consideration will also be given to candidates who are willing to work part time/remotely or on a consulting basis.

 

1.  Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in medium voltage switchgear design, manufacturing and/or testing.

2.  Desired candidate shall be responsible for working directly with major switchgear manufacturers and customers to design and build the actual equipment at Crown.

3.  The position will require the ability to supervise a group of engineers/technicians and provide program support.

4.  The candidate’s ability to take charge, run projects, direct personnel and provide critical switchgear manufacturing expertise will be taken into consideration in determining the transition into a senior management position.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Experience in the areas listed below will be helpful in determining the qualifications of candidate

 Detailed hands-on experience in medium voltage switchgear (600VAC to 27KVAC) Ability to read single line diagrams and specify all equipment need for the switchgear line-up. Intimately familiar with IEEE specifications and NEMA specifications pertaining to medium voltage switchgear.  Knowledge of clearances associated with voltage rating and different voltage class of switchgear Some knowledge of protective relaying and control of  switchgear Knowledge of switchgear operation and testing. Knowledge of the utility market with respect to Operation, Protection  & Control

 

SALARY:

 

Salary will be based on experience and background in the Engineering and Utility industry. Minimum compensation will be 60K or higher and will be based on experience.
