As one of our Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ you will have design and development responsibility for the SES Solar Dish Concentrator. Your SolidWorks prowess and experience in structural design, analysis and optimization for high volume manufacturing will enable you to optimize our system and support manufacturing issues. You will be designing for manufacturability, performance and cost. Your experience with large steel structures or automotive experience designing suspension systems or chassis is important as our dish has a mechanical drive that can elevate and rotate the structure. With the support of key suppliers and technical consultants, you will be responsible for the structure’s optical performance, reliability, and qualification. Any experience with optics or civil engineering will be an asset to you as this dish concentrator includes mounted mirrors and is installed/anchored in the earth.
