The Senior Oracle DBA will work in our Data Services group and must be able to perform the following functions:
Manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures in a multiple production and development environments. Manage the maintenance and administration of the Oracle Databases Design and manage backup and recovery procedures . Inital assignment will involve the setup of NetApp Snap Mirror procedures for an AIX/RAC environment that involves databases in different domains. NetApp, and RAC experience are a MUST. AIX is highly desirable. In addition, this position, will require experience will managing database user and security administration, advanced performance and application tuning. Coordinate research, planning and implementation of databases and application patches and fixes. Plan, design, test and implement upgrades for the Databases. Facilitate root cause analysis on problems where appropriate, and identify action items/recommendations to address issues. Maintain documentation and coding standards, lessons learned, best practices, and quality improvement documentation. Works closely with the development staff on all issues related to the Oracle Databases . Responsible for 24*7 production support on a rotation basis for all oracle databases. Callout rotation will require remote support of Palo Verde databases, which will require additional security clearances.Behavior Characteristics:
