Job Functions:Plan and manage technical R&D work related to environmentally-assisted cracking issues in light water reactors.Provide technical support to EPRI staff in developing and managing collaborative R&D projects and programs. This work addresses materials  degradation problems in reactor coolant system components, with particular emphasis on environmentally assisted cracking and other corrosion related topicsProvide assistance to EPRI Client Relations staff regarding the Materials and Chemistry Programs within the Nuclear SectorDevelop and maintain a good national and international, technical network with plant operators, reactor manufacturers, consultants, academia and research organizationsIdeal Candidate:Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skillsProject Management experienceComputer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Education Level and Years of Experience:Masters or PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Materials/Corrosion Science strongly preferred.Work experience will be considered in lieu of an advanced degreeEPRI’s Export Control Statement: In order to ensure compliance with U.S. export controls, EPRI must determine the citizenship status of all prospective applicants.
