Senior Supervisor - Credit & Collections

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Plan, supervise and monitor the systems, processes, and activities of the Revenue Management department exempt and non-exempt employees and vendors in order to maintain and deliver increased cash flow, protection of revenue, and to maximize employee and vendor productivity and profitability to the Company.  Implement standards and programs to improve processes, optimize cost per customer, and increase customer satisfaction.  MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Direct exempt and non-exempt line employees in day-to-day management of numerous vendors executing collection activities and field terminations/restorations of electric and natural gas service.  2. Direct exempt and non-exempt line employees in day-to-day execution of PECO credit & collections processes and procedures related to large commercial customers, landlords, bankruptcies, and legal collections activities. 3. Coordinate and evaluate scheduling of work within the area.  Schedule overtime when required. Develop scheduling process to create efficient processing of workload among employees.  4. Review and approve reports on expenditures (e.g. daily time sheets). 5. Evaluate employee performance and develop programs / meetings to enhance employee's job skills and motivate employee towards department goals.  6. Interface with other business units to ensure consistency, compliance and efficiency of established processes/procedures and to identify process/procedural improvements. Manage, direct and supervise the servicing of customer special needs. 7. Perform special projects as assigned such as designing, implementing, and monitoring identified process/procedural improvements. 8. Establish, promote and maintain a safe work environment for both employees within the department and vendor employees.  POSITION REQUIREMENTS  1. Bachelor degree in a business or engineering related discipline is required.  MBA is preferred. 2. 5-10 years professional experience with a minimum 2 years experience in a managing a diverse workgroup with a track record of team building and employee development.  2+ years credit & collections experience is preferred.  2+ years experience managing utility field or meter operations is preferred. 3. Proven track record in process improvement and project management (e.g. leading teams in implementing large-scale process/system changes). 4. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels. 5. Strong analytical and computer skills and an understanding of customer information systems. 6. Demonstrates proficiency in Exelon leadership competencies and leadership fundamentals.
