Senior Tax Accountant

 

A leader in the Oil and Gas Services industry is adding a Senior Tax Accountant to their corporate offices.  These offices are located in SW Houston.

 

 

Qualifications &Skills:5+ years of tax experience in an accounting firm and/or corporationBachelors degree in Accounting Masters degree in Accounting and/or Taxation (preferred but not required)Management experience in public accounting firmWorking familiarity with FAS 109 Excellent advisory skillsExperience with corporate taxation, consolidations and partnershipsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial informationService oriented with outstanding client interaction skillsBilingual in Spanish is a plus

 

Responsibilities:Advise and assist with tax planning for complex corporate transactions, and tax compliance wit the IRS and other taxing jurisdictions (including Foreign)Assess tax impact of transaction, develop arguments to support conclusions, and propose tax plans Perform tax research, modeling, and planning Manage expectations and staff resources to deliver exceptional, high quality work product on timeMentor, manage, and supervise staff in activities such as tax planning and administration, tax provision preparation, and tax filingsManage multiple engagements and internal teams
