Senior Tax Advisor - Tax Systems

Critical Role: Tax and compliance systems play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely completion of our tax provision and tax footnotes for financial reporting. A significant function! To fulfill these responsibilities you will interface and be exposed to several internal clients such as the Domestic, State and Local, International Tax Compliance, Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning and Financial Reporting. You will have the opportunity to provide systems support, and technical expertise regarding complex Federal, State and Local and Foreign taxation issues. Desired Qualifications: We are looking for tax professionals with a broad tax background, a good understanding of FAS 109/tax accounting and some tax systems experience with the following: Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Business Administration required or equivalent experience; Masters degree in Tax or Accounting and/or CPA licensure preferred. 5 – 8 years experience in a large CPA firm/corporate tax department preferred. Analytical, organized individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to assume responsibility for projects and meet required deadlines. Strong team player yet, able to set own priorities and work with minimal direct supervision. Willing to mentor. Experience with InSource or PowerPlan is helpful. Regulatory or utilities background a plus. Assist with the completion of tax financial statement footnote disclosures. Manages the set up of book to tax adjustments in the tax provision system for federal, state, and foreign tax adjustments Set up new entities and sub-consolidating structures in the tax provision Serve as the systems administrator for the tax compliance system. Assists with the completion of estimated and tax return tax payments for all entities.
