Sourcing/Materials Lead (Modules)

We are currently seeking a Sourcing/Materials Lead in the growing Supply Chain organization within the Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit. Our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit, based out of our corporate headquarters in Monroeville, PA, specializes in product development, systems engineering, component design, equipment manufacturing, and project management for new nuclear power plants worldwide. It is within this Business Unit that developed the AP1000 design, the safest and most economical nuclear power plant available in the worldwide commercial market place.

In this position, a Sourcing/Materials Lead can expect to perform the following duties:
- Serve as a key member in the Supply Chain (purchasing) Group.
- Work with global suppliers to support shortened plant construction schedules and obtain the best price for structural and equipment modules per design specifications and NPP quality requirements
- Develop and maintain vendor/supplier relationships and work with the Westinghouse engineers and project teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.

Desire/prefer a candidate with experiences in:

1. Building strong relationships across suppliers, engineering and projects
2. Project management/planning background; facilitating/leading cross-functional initiatives
3. Strong communication and influence skills with all levels of management, both internal and external
4. Leading and decision making with conflicting priorities
5. Leading contract negotiations
6. Nuclear power plant construction or operation
7. Contract Management in heavy industry or complex international contracts
8. Worked with international heavy industry suppliers would be a plus
9. Strong Analytical Skills in Excel and Access
10. 4 year engineering or business degree required.
11. Experience in Target Costing and Earned Value Systems helpful
12. 6 years experience in leading and managing projects
