Sr. Business Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for providing timely, accurate and relevant information to Services Corporation Leadership, IT Senior Leadership Team, Product and Project Managers as well as senior management to enable strategic decision-making. Ensure integrity and completeness of financial information. Provides interpretation and insight of financial performance metrics and the impact on the IT and Services Corporation’s financial performance. Identify, develop and implement continuous process improvement opportunities. Prepare and be able to articulate financial information, make recommendations, and provide risk mitigation, with supporting analysis, to all levels of management. Ensure compliance with Enterprise cost PSEG policies and practices for cost allocation to entities, products and services and joint owners based on underlying cost and revenue drivers. Support base rate case, compliance audits and other regulatory needs as required. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
Required: Bachelors in finance, accounting, or other related field. Five to eight years financial analysis experience. Demonstrated strong financial analysis and problem solving skills. Strong understanding of general accounting practices. Solid project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, lead cross-functional teams, and direct other associates. Ability to apply managerial accounting concepts and present and explain information to associates with financial and non-financial backgrounds. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to develop creative solutions. Demonstrated proficiency in financial systems and PC applications (MS Office Suite, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Solid written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management. Desired: MBA. SAP experience. Prior shared services experience. Prior experience with Information Technology department/systems.
