Sr. IT Project Manager

We are currently seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager for our corporate office located in downtown Houston, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Working with the planning team to identify opportunities for systematic or process improvements to reduce process inefficiencies and improve service levels Developing process automation and data for the entire organization Developing and maintaining the technical documentation for software and hardware tools as needed Gathering and analyzing information to create a viable project definition and approach Providing overall leadership for project definition, communication, and delivery Defining, facilitating, communicating, and resolving project issues with customers Developing and managing project risks, as well as developing contingency plans to minimize the risk Planning and monitoring project progress, tracking costs to budget and controlling scope Developing and delivering communication on project updates to senior management and executives 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent and eight (8) or more years related work experience Considerable business knowledge coupled with a programming driven solutions mindset Strong teamwork ability Strong mathematic aptitude Excellent communication and leadership skills Effective organizational and project management skills Ability to align enterprise capabilities and foster cross-organizational relationships Strong technical knowledge/experience with IT infrastructure, applications and environments Good command of MS products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Server Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus Project Management or Business experience with the energy industry preferred
