Sr. Oracle Applications Developer - Houston

Organizational Statement Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing has an opening for a Sr. Applications Developer (Oracle). As a member of the Gas Transportation IT department, the incumbent is responsible for providing Oracle Financials applications technical system support for complex modules, reports, interfaces, and other customizations between financial applications and other systems and third parties.Responsibilities Provide support for Oracle Financials Applications (GL, AR, CM, AP, PO, INV, PA, FA, Project Management). Participate in complex systems analysis, design, programming and testing activities. This requires significant knowledge of Oracle Financials tables, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports and related tools. This also includes liaison activities between the Enbridge business units, Oracle Financials, Necho and Khalix administrators and internal IT contacts.Analyze technical problems including data issues, workflows and production reports/interfaces. This involves research, testing, logging, and following-up on system bugs/tars.Design, build, unit test, and maintain custom objects including, but not limited to, interfaces between U.S. revenue accounting systems and Oracle Apps.Manage, estimate and solve production maintenance requests and problems in a timely manner.Discuss systems and procedures with clients; proactively investigate potential system problems; recommend changes and initiate corrective actions.Plan, participate and consult in system implementations for Enbridge operating companies.Prepare documentation and participate in governance of financial systems development and environment standards.Qualifications University or technical degree or diploma in Computer Science.Hands-on experience with complex application interfaces, reports, data migrations and conversions.Minimum of 7 years of Oracle Financials experience (including Applications v11i and RDBMS v9i).Minimum of 7 years of Oracle Forms 6i, Reports 6i, PL/SQL, Oracle Discoverer 4i, Stored Procedures, SQL Loader, and Triggers programming experience.Proven experience in support and project roles on large scale systems.Sound knowledge of networks, UNIX and Windows NT/XP/SQLserver.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and self-manage work and priorities.Good customer relationship and communications skills.Strong understanding of accounting principles is preferred.Gas pipeline industry experience is preferred, along with experience with Caminus (Sungard), Quorum, TransEnergy, CAAPS, and/or ExpressLP software.Equal Employment Opportunity We appreciate your interest in this Enbridge opportunity.
