Sr.Quality Assurance Analyst (Content Functionality)
The role of the Online QA Senior Analyst Content Functionality & Quality Assurance is to ensure all online content and functionality is implemented accurately and continues to perform correctly and on strategy for TXU.com and our micro-sites. To achieve this, the Online QA Senior Analyst will help develop, and protect words and images displayed to current and potential residential consumers on txu.com and supporting landing pages, while enforcing TXU Energy’s brand voice and legal and regulatory requirements. 1. Ensure consistent and effective content presentation online by adhering and enforcing content guidelines (style, tone, offer, format) across various communication elements. 2. Conduct Site Monitoring and Compliance Testing Test and support all new pages for txu.com redesign and future phases. 3. Compile and Analyzing web data for site optimization. 4. Provide online support throughout the organization
In addition, this position will play an key role is site usability and metrics for the online team and to deliver a best-in-class web experience for TXU Energy.
Qualifications:
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of retail electricity business including but not limited to market structure/pricing, and competitive environment.
Ensure consistent and effective content presentation online by adhering and enforcing content guidelines (style, tone, offer, format) across various communication elements.
Interfaces with internal teams, consultants and vendors and helps enforce the most appropriate online solution(s).
Revise the scope, format, and content of clients’ materials to ensure conformance with established standards and style guides.
Oversee English-to-Spanish translation process for online content with outside vendor.
Demonstrate flexibility as a team player, while being willing to be challenged on a regular basis in a fast-paced, goal and production-oriented work environment.
Works on ad hoc projects as necessary, some of them being “offline” in nature.
Conduct Site Monitoring and Compliance Testing
• Test and support all new pages for txu.com redesign and launch for phase 1 and 2
• Troubleshoot issues that arise related to tracking & reporting,
• Monitor TXU.com (over 500 pages) and Online Partner sites for accuracy of current content, channel product hierarchy, legal documentation and update when needed
• Ensure consistent and effective content presentation online by adhering and enforcing content guidelines (style, tone, offer, format) across various communication elements.
• Oversee English-to-Spanish translation process for online content with outside vendor.
• Demonstrate flexibility as a team player, while being willing to be challenged on a regular basis in a fast-paced, goal and production-oriented work environment.
• Works on ad hoc projects as necessary, some of them being “offline” in nature.
• Monitor competitors' website statistics for traffic comparison, rankings and search term performance.
• Lead the overall effort for site usability testing
Compile and Analyzing web data for site optimization.
• Provide data-driven insights on visitor behavior by analyzing WebTrends data on traffic patterns, order volume, conversion funnel, navigation behavior, and plan selections on txu.com.
• Tag and generate WebTrends and Tealeaf reports that will us to monitor customer activity on TXU.com and allow us to optimize performance and key sales drivers A
• Analyze website behavior to identify trends, quantify visitor demographics, pinpoint usability issues and make recommendations for improvement.
• Report and perform in-depth analysis of current results generated from txu.com websites, as well as the site's performance.
• Understand the technicalities and architecture of the txu.com websites, assure appropriate tagging is in place, and coordinate tag management, tests, and tracking parameter and custom report implementations with CGE and RedDot.
Provide online support throughout the organization.
• Perform updates to price plan pages and uploaded files
• Provide support to online portion of ROMP (1 full FTE required by ROMP team)
• Coordinate all backend launches with Marketing operations and CGE, being the go between all organizations.
• Manage the day-today enrollment and reporting of the refer a friend program.
• Work closely with campaign managers to interpret enrollment reports and compare call center trends vs. online activity.
• Monitor, analyze, project, and communicate changes in key metrics with daily, weekly or monthly reports.
• Work with campaign mangers to maintain vanity URL library and start and expire URL’s on a timely basis
• Work with online and offline marketing teams to ensure smooth tracking implementation before project development, during development and after launch of a new campaigns.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail including the ability to oversee Spanish content.
Ability to facilitate testing efforts and troubleshooting issues through resolution.
Must be able to quickly reprioritize workflow and internal/external teams based on go-live dates and changing project priorities.
Creative problem solver.
Understanding of translating marketing concepts to online space.
Ability to champion and understand all facets of web user experience.
Ability to work as a team member while openly and effectively communicating with peers and supervisors from various departments – each with unique goals.
Familiarity with various online formats including website pages, basic HTML structure, banners, and product emails
Willingness to learn new software applications – some being proprietary to the company.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The minimum education requirements are:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Marketing.
The minimum experience requirements are:
3-5 years of QA experience with web applications
B2C or B2B Editing Online: 2-3 years
Experience in electric utility or other service industry a real plus.
Basic understanding of online tracking methods (queries, cookies, etc.)
Editing and proofing.
ability to learn and work with online analytics applications
