The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

Senior/Staff Nuclear Specialist – Electrical Maintenance Section



Summary of Responsibilities

Responsible for developing non-engineering solutions to technical issues in support of plant maintenance and for conduct of all predictive maintenance in assigned discipline. Provide technical input to maintenance craft in implementation of work ( e.g., interpret vendor manuals, drawings, and schematics; determine tolerances and values required by field representatives; etc.). Responsible for troubleshooting station components and systems, including development and implementation of troubleshooting plans. Responsible for field execution of technical testing (such as surveillance and performance testing; e.g., maintenance surveillance procedures,  MSPs), including development and maintenance of associated procedures. Provide input to documents associated with temporary and minor modifications. Develop and complete investigations and corrective actions in accordance with the CAP. Perform field walk downs and interface with maintenance craft too resolve shop emergent plant issues. Responsible for preparing technical reports and presentations in support of maintenance functions. Interface with engineering to resolve design and license basis issues. Interface and coordinate activities performed by outside engineering/consulting service companies related to maintenance work/ manage and complete assigned activities to support timely implementation of required plant operations.

 

In addition, this position in Electrical Maintenance is responsible for predictive maintenance, implementation of the breaker reliability program, and budgeting of these activities of the station. Responsibility for predictive maintenance includes obtaining thermography data on station equipment and baker testing on station motors

 

Summary of Qualifications

Required 4 year BS Engineering Degree (Electrical)

Required 4 years Electrical Power Plant experience

Preferred/recommended - Breaker, Motor Control Center, Substation Maintenance/Testing Experience
