Strategic Planning - Sr. Manager

This position is responsible for managing the Strategic Planning group for the Customer Service Department.

 

Essential Functions:Direct the work of Strategic Planning managers and associates, which will include coaching, providing oversight on project activities, and ongoing development of the department.  Own the department planning process for all of Customers Service, which will include other VP direct reports, as well as site-based managers.  Manage own projects cradle-to-grave. Provide regular updates and give visibility to project activities and impacts.  Manage function’s budget.Manage contractors and vendors where necessary.Act as a liaison with other BU departments, other BU’s and Corporate.  Direct the identification, prioritization, and selection of projects that will address the biggest department challenges. Own the Strategic Planning team’s development and ongoing management of tools and processes to execute against the strategic plan.

 

Education, Training & Skills Required:

§ Successful track record of executing against a strategic plan

§ Excellent management skills: Very talented team will require a professional leader, sophisticated thinking, and the credible experience. 

§ 10 years experience:  strategic planning for a Fortune 500 firm, or consulting engagement management

§ Exemplary communication skills: interpersonal, written, and presentation. Ability to communicate with clients to identify and address customer communication/reporting requirements.

§ Must be an expert user of PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.  Familiar with web-based tools.

§ Appreciation of branding

§ Excellent Project Management skills

§ MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
