The Transmission Operations Engineering group coordinates with the CAISO in the analysis and development of Operating Procedures and with Transmission Planning on transmission expansion plans. Transmission Operations Engineering provides technical support for ISO Relations, Service and Sales and Electric Transmission Rates, among others. Transmission Operations Engineering also participates in various regional operating forums and is responsible for coordinating compliance with NERC Reliability standards within the operations organizations. SUPERVISING POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERThe Supervising Power System Engineer will have 8-10 engineers of various experiences as direct reports. This person will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to these direct reports and for ensuring that projects are completed in accordance with high standards for quality and timeliness. The supervisor will also be responsible for the recruiting, mentoring, and coaching of new engineers, as well as the retention, coaching, and mentoring of existing staff. This position is also responsible for assessing the performance of direct reports and for providing constructive feedback through the Performance Management Process and Employee Development Plans. Responsibilities: 1. Safety: Develop and maintain a strong safety culture.2. Leadership: Supervise, coach and develop engineering staff. Develop and administer performance management plans that drive high performance. Assess developmental needs and develop plans to address those needs. 3. Process Improvement: Track business processes and work with staff and stakeholders to develop improvements. Actively seek out and implement performance and/or process improvements.4.
