Chevron Global Downstream is accepting online applications for the position of Supervisor – Grease Manufacturing located in Port Arthur, Texas through May 18, 2008.Responsible for the supervision of a three shift grease manufacturing and packaging operation located within Chevron's largest Lubricants Plant. Responsible for safety, training, scheduling, personnel, troubleshooting, capital budget, operating expense, maintenance and effective operation of a relatively complex plant. Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Leads and conducts process improvement projects as assigned by the Operations Manager including flush reduction, reliability improvement, integration of operations, critical equipment evaluations, cost reduction measures, etc. for the Port Arthur Lubrication Plant.• Supervise the manufacturing of greases. Responsible for adjusting operations and shifting manpower to meet constantly changing production needs. Coordinate with planning department to maintain smooth transition between products. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance to process units with maintenance department. Coordinate with laboratory to maintain product quality and testing protocol and procedures.• Coordinate the packaging of grease products with the planning department. Supervise the packaging of greases. Supervise/coordinate adjustments and changes in product packaging with grease manufacturing. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with maintenance department. Work with Headquarters Packaging Group, Quality Technician and Operations and Maintenance (O&M’s) to optimize packaging operation. Coordinate with laboratory to maintain quality sampling and testing protocols and procedures.• Supervise the grease recycling and slop operations.• Develop monthly work schedules for O&M personnel in Grease and Packaging departments. Coordinate with contract supervisor to develop and coordinate personnel schedules.• Manage receipt and storage of empty grease packaging raw materials. Coordinate with vendor management personnel to minimize downtime caused by empty container supply system. Ensure that accurate and complete raw material usage data is documented.• Manage and administer operating expense budgets for Grease Packaging and Grease Manufacturing areas. Manage and inventory consumable supplies for raw materials inventories in both areas.• Manage and maintain operating processes to meet and ISO 9002-2000 standards. Develop and revise procedures per ISO guidelines. Maintain training and document control processes per ISO guidelines. Conduct and complete customer complaint investigations and report per ISO process.
