Currently we are looking for 2 qualified candidates (one day shift, one night shift) to fulfill the following job description:

 

System Analyst (Trader Support)

SMC’s Commercial Division is looking for two System Analysts to become part of our team with an enterprise commercial client in Baltimore, MD. 

 

Position Requirements:

Required Skills:

 Troubleshooting all aspects of Windows XP, MS Office, Internet Explorer, and proprietary software, especially client/server based applications, database clients and web based applicationsAbility to troubleshoot all aspects of network connectivity from the desktopExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work as part of a cohesive highly skilled and motivated team

Technical Skills:Windows XPMS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointRemote access, including Remote Desktop Connection, dialup, VPN and CitrixTCP/IPPC hardware and printer troubleshooting and maintenanceActive Directory/Group PolicyBlackBerry/PDA support

Project/Assignment Information:

 Providing end user support for all desktop and network related issues within a large network, including hardware, OS, standard and proprietary software, and printersSupport of market data applications Bloomberg, CQG, Reuters, NGXTechnical support to remote users connecting through dialup, internet Citrix, and VPNOrganization, coordination, and execution of user and equipment movesTracking of equipment through asset management systemDocumentation of work performed through a ticketing tracking system and weekly status reportsWorking closely with other team members and other teams to resolve technical issuesWorking closely with end users to provide timely, workable solutions to technical problemsAssisting with training of newer techniciansGuidance of trade-floor related projects from initiation to completion
