Job Description:

Provide remedial and enhancement support to software components used in various mission-critical pipeline applications such as Scheduling, Accounting as well as developing interfaces with other applications. Job requires participation in providing 24X7 support to pipeline control center operations.

 Required Skills, Education, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as engineering or computer science. 5+ years of proven IT experience covering VB.NET, VB, XML, Crystal Reports, and SQL Server database including stored procedures required. Experience with applications testing, configuration, and installation. Demonstrated ability to resolve production issues using strong analytical & problem solving skills. Working experience in large scale, multi-user, multi-platform application environment.  Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a variety of organizational groups, i.e., end-users and their management, peer programmers, infrastructure and administrative support staff (DBA, NT Administrators, Web Masters). Ability to document functional and technical specification. Ability to interact and work as a team member on various projects involving the same groups of people. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic environment with minimum supervision.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience: Experience supporting 24x7 applications. Ability to develop systems with due consideration to reliability, availability and maintainability is extremely important.
