Systems Analyst/Programmer RTMS

We are currently seeking a Systems Analyst/Programmer RTMS for our corporate office located in downtown Houston, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Supporting a highly customized rental tool management system for the oil field services industry Maintaining programming and new development programming Supporting end users Working with end users to analyze requirements and develop functional specifications Taking functional specifications and moving them through design, development, testing and implementation 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Visual Basic 6.0 (VB Classic), MS SQL-Server 2000, MS Access 2003 Firm understanding of database relational model Knowledge of software development life cycle (requirements, development, testing, integration, implementation and acceptance) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to gather and document systems requirements Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, but also be able to work with a team and take direction from the application technical lead Experience in working multiple assignments during the same time frame and juggling tasks based on relative priorities Willingness and ability to provide after hours support as needed from time-to-time Excel programming, SQL Server 2000, back-up/restore databases, User Account Management knowledge preferred Ability to create Data Flow Diagrams (Visio, etc) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (Erwin, etc.) preferred, as well as knowledge of Citrix environment and MS-Terminal Server Client tools
