Reporting to the Tax Manager, Compliance & Audits, you will apply your professional approach to the following key responsibilities: KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and manage timely filing of consolidated US Federal and State Corporate income tax returns, including reporting of international operations and responses to US tax audit queries.

Manage and review BHP Billiton's US tax accounting position to ensure proper financial statement presentation under USGAAP and International Accounting Standards.

Facilitate and prepare US current and long range tax forecasts, including coordination with business groups to obtain forecast data. Preparation and review of quarterly estimated tax and extension payments.

Support transaction and planning team and special projects as required QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years practical experience in U.S. and international tax compliance and accounting including consolidated returns.

Experience with U.S. federal and state, international, corporation and partnership taxation.

Strong computer skills with particular emphasis on spreadsheet analysis and tax compliance software.

Excellent communication skills - able to interact with business units and people at different levels of the organization.

Attention to detail and desire to learn

Flexible personality that can effectively thrive in a team environment.

BS/BA in finance or accounting. CPA strongly preferred. Resource industry experience a strong plus.
