Tax Consultant

IFG is a Resource-Based Consulting Practice specializing in providing consultants to clients in disciplines such as Corporate Tax, Internal Audit-SOX, Controller/CFO, Financial and Management Reporting, Financial Analysis, Business Process Improvement and Financial Systems Initiatives.

We are seeking a full-time consultant to assist our clients with ongoing tax consulting projects.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare certain federal, state, local, and foreign tax documents by approving preparation of work papers, positions, schedules, returns, and IRS filings, including those for subsidiaries; reviewing payroll, property, and sales and use, and income taxes.

* Make recommendations on tax policies and solutions to management by projecting tax exposures; evaluating and presenting tax action options.


* Assist client in developing tax strategies, plans, and solutions by understanding corporate business model and requirements; researching and tracking economic, political, and legislative trends affecting and potentially affecting business; identifying and researching federal, state, local, and foreign taxation issues.


* Assist client in maximizing after-tax profits by minimizing tax liabilities; developing and implementing procedures, guidelines, systems, documentation, and reporting to federal, state, local, and foreign authorities; conducting and obtaining audits.


Experience in the following disciplines desired:
*  Corporate federal consolidated income tax returns.

*  Corporate multi-state income tax returns.

*  Property tax returns

*  Sales & Use tax returns

*  Corptax software experience strongly desired
