Tax Manager - Research and Planning

 

One of Denver’s top companies is seeking a senior level Tax Manager of Research and Planning. This position is a research and planning role with significant emphasis on partnership tax issues. Relocation is available and specific industry background is not required.

 

Responsibilities:

Federal, state and international tax research, analysis, and planning projects for income and franchise tax filings

Researches complex partnership income tax items including joint venture and master limited partnership issues, develops authoritative tax positions, and formulate recommendations for implementation

Participate in due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and business development projects to provide technical tax expertise 

Work cross functionally with other department heads and directors regarding tax effects of various transactions, operations, audits and legislative changes

 

Qualifications:

8-10 years tax experience in public accounting, a law firm or a corporate tax department

Advanced degree: Master of Tax, LLM, MBA or equivalent

Excellent technical knowledge of partnership taxation and strong corporate taxation experience

Demonstrated tax research skills

Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills

Excellent problem solving skills, leadership and project management skills
