Chevrons Information Technology Company (CITC) is accepting online applications for the position of Team Lead - Project Management Office for Workforce Planning, Change Management, Safety & Compliance, located in Concord, CA, USA thru May 23, 2008.Overview:The experienced Team Lead has the responsibility to supervise the Global Workforce Planning, Change Management, Safety and Compliance areas for its Enterprise Business Solutions group (E.B.S.). E.B.S. provides global support for the large enterprise applications within Chevron (e.g. SAP, Oracle/JDE, Ariba). The scope of work covers 150+ projects and 1000+ resources worldwide. The successful candidate must have the aptitude, attitude and energy to be a part of a high performance team that will impact the future direction of IT at Chevron. The team lead is a member of the Strategy, Planning and Organizational Capability team (SPOC) within E.B.S. The SPOC team is responsible for running the business side of EBS including supplier management, strategy, workforce planning (PMO), product management, safety and compliance. This position reports to the Manager of SPOC.The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with a clear record of outstanding achievement, creating a bold vision and energizing/engaging others to that vision. Individual will be expected to create a sense of urgency and mobilize commitment at individual and organizational levels. The ability to challenge existing assumptions and develop alternatives that lead to new and more appropriate ones is important.SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:• This is a global position responsible for managing portfolio management services for 150+ projects and 1000+ resources.• Responsible for managing global recruiting program for the US and Philippines to recruit and onboard resources. • Requires extensive leadership, engagement and communications skills to build alignment between 30 + functional groups, 40 peer team leaders, 10 delivery managers, general manager and other IT management teams. • Manages 3 functional lead positions to effectively deliver the value to the Global ERP support organization.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Program Management:• Portfolio/Program Management Office to oversee overall demand management and cross functional issue management • Ensure successful deployment and management of professional resource processes and tool enhancements• Dashboard and metrics consolidation/reporting• Governance Process – Develops & measures performance standards, realize program/project benefitsChange Management:• Leadership Support: Supports leadership in their effort to engage stakeholders that are experiencing change, (customers, employees, etc). Support leadership in sponsorship activities to create alignment, gain commitment, and shape employee behavior. • Team Building: Plans and supports team building opportunities to engage onsite and offshore teams in a cohesive working partnership.• Collaboration: Plans and supports the leadership team and team leaders in offsite events and engagements.• Communication: Manages the process for communicating change.Organizational Capability:• Work Force Planning and Talent Management• Strategic Supplier Management related to Talent Management • College recruiting programs and special projects with universities• Partner with central teams to evolve and globalize our HR staffing processes – Horizons IT Track and processes to include ManilaSafety:• Facilitate execution of overall yearly safety plan• Develop, manage, and regularly communicate safety metrics. • Work with Leadership Team to ensure E.B.S. meets all safety and wellness initiatives.• Monitor injury trends and proactively research and recommend corrective actionsCompliance:• Facilitates processes to ensure that compliance with with the standards is maintained (e.g. SOX, Information Protection, Segregation of Duty). • Performs SOX assessor roles for the affected controls and lead coordination to represent E.B.S. on various SOX Teams• Facilitates processes to ensure compliance with IP policies/standards and completion of IP Supplemental Reporting• Works with ITC Audit Coordinator to influence the scope and schedule of Internal Audits; coordinate end-of-year external Required (Basic) Qualifications:• A Bachelors degree in a technical or related business field• 2 to 3 years of solid leadership experience and 4 to 5 years of experience in the related disciplines• Experience with PMO/professional services is key• International as well as domestic travel will be required Preferred Qualifications:• International experience is highly desirable. • Experience with communication, leading change, recruiting, and compliance activities including SOX is also highly desirable. • An understanding of the integrated oil and gas business is a plus.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-CA-Concord Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:IT/Software Development
