Inc. is accepting online applications for the position of Technical Analysts (TA) for the Rapid Tools & Systems located Houston, Texas through May 9, 2008.Overview:Global Supply & Trading IT is looking for an experienced Technical Analyst. The successful candidates must have strong applications background to be part of a high performance team that supports the performance and growth of Global Supply & Trading (GS&T) division of Chevron. GS&T is critical to the success of downstream operations by conducting crude, refined products and LPG trading, supply chain management optimization, and aviation product marketing and supply. The GS&T IT Rapid Tools and Systems is responsible for web applications, critical Excel/Access business tools, application development and support (custom and/or vendor purchased).Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Technical Knowledge - Demonstrated knowledge of application development tools and acumen. Solid understanding of efficient programming techniques and the ability to comprehend complex logic and data flows. Experience in application development using ASP/VB.NET, MS SQL Server, VBScript, XML, JavaScript, and Visual Studio. Strong understanding of VBA and MS Access•Perform business analysis to identify and define business opportunities and participate in the development of the solution design. •Utilize project management skills to execute projects applying industry standard project methodology. Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology is desired•Communication - Proactively communicates in a clear, concise, understandable manner both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively work with customers, business partners, 3rd party vendors, and various support organizations. Tailors communication based on receiving audience.Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems is preferred• Business Knowledge - Familiarity with the fundamentals of crude and refined products supply and trading, fuel supply chain management optimization, and aviation product marketing and supply. • Strong understanding of application delivery to customers.
