Chevron Mining Inc. is accepting online applications for the position of Trainee located in Mountain Pass, California through May 19, 2008.Overview:Under the general direction of the Supervisor, a Trainee operates various mobile and stationary equipment within design limits and control parameters to produce on spec products in a safe and environmentally conscience manner. Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Monitoring and controlling processes parameters to assure product quality.• Trouble shooting and developing corrective actions pertaining to process upsets.• Material handling in a safe and environmentally conscience manner using manual and mechanized methods.• Simple mathematical and chemical calculations relating to process and procedure requirements.• Communicating, reporting, and participating in development of corrective action plans pertaining to safe work practices, environmental concerns, equipment, and process issues. Preferred Qualifications:Prior Experience using the following equipment:• Process equipment (e.i. pumps, filters, mixing tanks, and simple conveying systems);• Material handling equipment (e.i. hand trucks, small hoists, weighing scales) • Small mobile equipment (e.i. forklifts, small skid loaders, front end loaders, flatbed and pick up trucks)Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school level classes in advanced math, simple chemistry, and simple physics.Relocation Options:Relocation will not be considered.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-CA-Mountain Pass Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Manufacturing/Production/Operations
