Transmission Line Engineer

Interested in joining a growing engineering firm that offers challenging assignments?  Commonwealth Associates, Inc.’s Mount Vernon, Washington, office is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer who is proficient in the use of PLS-CADD.  Commonwealth is a leading engineering and consulting company with principal offices in Mount Vernon, Washington, Jackson, Michigan, and Marietta, Georgia.  Our firm specializes in the design of power delivery facilities for electrical utilities and industrial customers.

Duties would also include acting as Project Manager and acting in a leadership role for project staff.  The successful candidate will have a BS or MS degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years transmission design experience associated with PLS-CADD, route selection, structure design, foundation design, material specifying, construction bid document preparation, and design/construction liaison as it relates to the design of electric transmission lines.  Also required is experience in writing proposals/technical reports and interfacing with clients.  Candidates with a P.E. license or qualifications to obtain one are preferred.
