About the Position

 

Candidates can live anywhere in the US, as long as they are a reasonable distance from a major airport.

 

BSEE / BSME or equivalent field engineering experience preferred. Alternately, electrical or mechanical engineering associate’s degree and equivalent field engineering experience is acceptable.

 

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):Provide on-site technical leadership during installation of OpFlex software upgrades to customer-owned power generation facilitiesLiaise effectively with OpFlex Service Manager, utilizing customers' CTQ in job planning and executionTroubleshoot errors in OpFlex Software Code and/or control constants (as required). Document and provide detailed feedback on software code and/or constant errors to GE Controls COE and GE Requisition Engineering so unit records can be updated appropriatelyPrepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages, as well as documenting as-left controls software in appropriate GE storage locationsMaintain strong safety mindset to assure executed work reflects technical requirements within GE safety standardsIdentify process improvements to reduce cost and/or increase reliabilityFormulate and maintain OpFlex software installation procedures and documentation 

Qualifications/Requirements:5 years of experience in controls and/or energy field2 years experience with GE Turbine Control Systems (Mark VI, Mark V, etc.).BSEE / BSME OR electrical or mechanical engineering associate’s degree and equivalent field engineering experienceSelf-starter with ability to work issues to completion with little or no outside assistanceSignificant travel with no restrictions, and must have the ability to perform night work as required to meet business needsMust have a valid driver's license
