Westinghouse - Inventory Planner

System One is seeking an Inventory Planner to work with Westinghouse in their New Stanton, PA facility.  This is a contract assignment offering approximately 3-6 months of work with a high potential to turn into a permanent full time opportunity working directly with Westinghouse. Individuals with experience using SAP software  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  1. Develop, implement, communicate and monitor measures and benchmarks for managing inventory levels, inventory use and sourcing / materials processes to improve supply base performance and reduce obsolescence, thus optimizing Westinghouse’s inventory investment. Lead quality improvement initiatives where appropriate.2. Team with engineering personnel (i.e. Project, Operations) on periodic reviews of established project plans and schedules to proactively address future project material requirements, objectives, and challenges.  Resolve problems and expedite critical hardware, or materials deliverables, interfacing as necessary with functional departments (i.e. purchasing, engineering, Q.A., marketing, manufacturing, and customers).  3. Participate in development and/or delivery of training programs on process and associated software tools (e.g., SAP) to assist with inventory planning and management.  Coach personnel in utilizing software tools to implement Westinghouse inventory management processes.4. Prepare and distribute management reports concerning areas such as inventory level, utilization, and inventory performance (i.e. fill rate).  5. Implement process and system improvements to optimize inventory planning and scheduling functions.6. Oversee the flow of materials to ensure on-time performance against project plans and schedules.7. Requisition materials and supplies in concert with overall business strategies for efficient inventory management.8. Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory planning parameters in SAP. Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering or equivalent.  Typically 1-5 years professional experience in business, engineering, or related fields where knowledge of inventory management tools, practices and software applications has been attained. Please send resumes to Michelle.Flynn@SystemOneServices.com  immediately.
