Wholesale Software Developer needed for GREAT Utilities Firm!

Stream Energy is hiring a WHOLESALE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER in our Dallas Headquarters - do you want to be part of a growing, thriving company with a GREAT team environment?

Due to our rapid growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer who will be responsible for creating custom software applications for the firm’s Wholesale Operations Department as well as adding and expanding functionality and reports within Stream's Customer Information System (CIS).

In addition to software development, the position also encompasses some design analysis components.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who is familiar with the various Independent System Operators (ISO) intrinsic to the power  industry, has a working knowledge of the various Energy Trading platforms and ETRM systems - a plus, and is interested in living and working in Dallas, TX. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

- Work closely with energy contract counter-parties and the Wholesale Operations  Management team to maintain scheduling data integrity




- Manage and update the operation of related software to determine the REP’s energy forecasting abilities and outputs


- Prepare various forecasting reports



- Work closely with the Finance and Accounting departments in creating projected income statements


- Convert existing wholesale applications database from SQL Server to Oracle


- Write code to auto-populate excel spreadsheets

- Have a solid understanding of VB.NET programming

- Create database queries for wholesale reporting functions

- Create Adobe Acrobat files using Crystal Reports

- Possess an ability to inspect all expectations and effectively perform therefrom

You have experience in creating highly complex, and customized software systems in the areas of mass billing, finance, and mass customer service oriented industries.
You are an EXPERT in a PHP/MySQL/Linux environment.

Experience working in an Oracle database environment is considered a plus
Experience in the energy / utility industry would be a considerable plus.

Experience with SOAP, Allegro products

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education

Direct experience in the energy industry, specifically; trading platform interfaces

Excellent computer systems including familiarity with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and internet applications

Clean criminal background and drug screen results
