Wind Park Erection/Commissioning Inventory Control and Tools Manager

Based at our West Branch, Iowa turbine assembly plant, Acciona Windpower North America seeks a dynamic multi-task individual to manage the inventory and maintenance of our unloading, erection and commissioning tools for the Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) during the construction of wind farms.

 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of 3 years of mechanical and electrical equipment /inventory control experience. Wind Turbine Generators tools experience preferred.

2. Experience in quality management / quality control processes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

3. Driver’s License required.

4. Ability to travel to the wind farms when needed during the erection and commissioning process.

5. Ability to manage personnel.

6. Ability to manage inventories.

7. Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare reports.

8. Spanish Language preferred but not required.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Associate’s degree in mechanical or tools engineering or related discipline. Equivalent related work experience accepted.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

1. Responsible for the inventory and control of the wind farms tools.

2. Manage and coordinate all the activities related to the maintenance and transportation of tools to the wind farms.

3. Organization and tracking of all the quality control and transportation documents for the WTG’s tools.

4. Interaction with onsite personnel during wind farm construction.

5. Ensure all the necessary tools are allocated to the different construction projects.

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/construction environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
