Wind Turbine Technician Non Traveling

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in operations and maintenance of wind turbines.  Must be able to understand the operations of the business and equipment used that will diagnose and apply appropriate action to retrofit using electrical, mechanical or other expertise required.  Must be able to install and adjust equipment ensuring proper performance.  Communicates with the site manager and customer any issues or concerns and ensures that corrective actions are taken and completed. 

 

Maintains daily service reports.  Paper documents completed to provide preventive maintenance and safety requirements on equipment along with tracking of inventory.

COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,  and procedure manuals.

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

* Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics knowledge.

* Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams.
