Project Manager

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage full life cycle engineering state-of-the-art navigation and GPS consumer electronics projects in a fast pace global environment. Establish schedule and drive a world wide engineering team and global design centers towards successful completion of projects. Resolve program execution issues. Launch products with world wide coordination of cross functional team. Increase development efficiency and to drive products to market faster

 

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management.  Experience in managing fast pace world-class technology projects and leading a worldwide multidisciplinary product development team including software and hardware engineers.  Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and people management skills including ability to interact with all levels of management and functional organizations.  Experienced in MS project or equivalent and MS Office Suite of tools, embedded systems. Some travel is required. Consumer electronics and GPS experience a plus.PMP or PMI a plus.
