AMDRI MANAGER/WATER CHEMIST

GenPower Services, LLC is currently recruiting for an experienced AMDRI Manager/Water Chemist.  This position is responsible for managing the AMD Reclamation, Inc. mine dewatering facilities, the future Longview Power Project water supply and discharge facilities, and providing water chemistry expertise to support Longview Power and other GenPower assets.  Longview Power, LLC is a 695 Mw coal-fired power plant that is currently under construction near Morgantown, West Virginia.

 

The duties of the position are

 

· Develop a positive and productive relationship with environmental regulators, environmental organizations, and the community in managing the AMDRI assets

· Develop processes to comply with the obligations of the permits and the local, state and federal regulations, and ensure that the processes are operational and effective

· Provide leadership and direction to the AMDRI operating staff and contractors

· Interface with the GenPower facilities to develop and continually improve comprehensive and efficient water chemistry programs

· Provide quality assurance of data reported to various government agencies and corporate entities

· Develop and manage operating and capital budgets

· Support Longview Power and other GenPower assets with water chemistry and operational expertise

· Support GenPower business development activities as needed

 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or industrial engineering, and have at least 10 years experience in industrial water and waste water treatment, with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.  Experience with mine dewatering and Acid Mine Drainage treatment preferred.
