Alliant Techsystems (ATK)-Tactical Propulsion and Controls Systems has a challenging opportunity for aSenior Administrative Assistant in Baltimore, MD. This Division ofATK specializes in the production of tactical propulsion systems.The Senior Administrative Assistant position requires a high level of professional administrative support in the handling of sensitive, confidential, and classified business matters. This position will maintain calendars for a group of senior level managers and work with all levels of management and staff across the TPC Division. The incumbent will act as a direct liaison to customers as it pertains to screening phone calls and visitors. The Senior Administrative Assistant will interact with corporate personnel, customers (internal and external), and managers/supervisors/co-workers/peers. The position requires the close adherence to ATK policies and procedures. The incumbent will perform highly diverse administrative and assistant-oriented services that are technical, complex, and often confidential, requiring initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities include developing and preparing confidential reports and correspondence that may include high-level financial and technical data. The Senior Administrative Assistant will assume the role of primary contact for all administrative matters. Duties will include responding to telephone and in-person inquiries in place of manager; referring only the most complex issues to managers and providing as appropriate recommendations/solutions to assist managers in understanding and resolving issues. The incumbent will pursue emails/calendars for changes, due dates, actions, and need-to-know items, etc., and will ensure that required actions and commitments for the management group are met. Other duties include coordinating and making travel arrangements; submitting time charges; submitting expense reports; arranging for in-plant and off-site meetings; scheduling conference rooms for in-house meetings; making arrangements for hosting visitors; and, ordering office supplies. Requirements: HS Diploma. Associates degree is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Senior Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant to a Director level or higher. Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Applications are required. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
