Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Will work with various departments to facilitate all aspects of fabrication, debugging, and sub-contractor liaison for large scale projects.  Provide technical leadership for manufacturing processes such as machining, castings, metal joining (advanced welding & brazing), and tool & fixture design.  Coordinate with internal resources, contract manufacturers, and vendors for fixed schedule fabrication, prototype builds, pilot production, assembly, and debug phases of project.  Initiate DFMA on all new designs and generate manufacturing procedures to document build process. 

 

BSME preferred, 10 - 25 years experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with manufacturing process for turbo-machinery and industrial equipment (machining, turnings, castings, metal/fiberglass fabrication, skids, electrical cables, and instrumentation.  Experience working with sub-contract vendors in such areas is highly preferred.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings (including GD&T) in Solidworks and/or Pro Engineer.
