After Market Engineer

Lead Engineer responsible for supervising, planning and directing the activities of group of After Market Service (AMS) Engineers that provide Engineering and Design Services for all of The Companies' AMS Groups.  The Candidate must be knowledgeable of all types of Compressor Packages, Process Plant Design, well head equipment, integral compressors, and compressor station design.  The Candidate shall assist AMS in evaluating projects, developing job scopes, developing cost estimates, and equipment selection.  Shall be responsible for Engineering and technical support involving design changes of Customer owned equipment, applications, field and shop fabrication, equipment failure analysis, and start-up assistance.  Shall be able to develop, evaluate, document, and implement standards, Best Practices, and lesson learned.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Must be knowledgeable compressor applications and familiar with OEM performance programs Assist in consolidating and developing consistent standards for field construction and equipment installation requirements Engineering & Technical Support for Exterran Basin After Market Service Groups Engineering support for After Market Service field modifications for Customer owned equipment Write, evaluate, document, implement Standards Best Practices, and Lessons Learned Evaluate and resolve technical, mechanical, electrical, and performance issues for Customer owned equipment Define and develop Job Scope for projects Direct activities of Engineers involved with project design & management, project estimates and special applications Assist Operations Personnel with technical issues Investigate equipment failures and develop failure analysis reports Assist in developing control panel logic for specific applications Working knowledge of the processes and equipment offered by the company Understand the design/selection methods and calculations necessary to design or select the appropriate solution, and is capable of utilizing the various computer-assisted methods of performing the related task Possesses working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of natural gas treating, compression and hydrocarbon processing, as required by The Company for which the individual is responsible. Utilize the appropriate resources to develop basic cost estimates, as required, in support of After Market Services quotations and revamp estimates for Basin facilities Familiar with PV Elite as a tool to design ASME Code vessels Design compressor packages and work with Cad Designers to provide a complete set of drawings and documentation for Basin facilitiesRequired Skills or Tools:· Ability to Supervise  Engineers and Designer’s involved in rotary screw design and applications· Requires use of computers, drafting tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments· Good organizational and planning skills· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions· Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and PC skills· Proficient with email system; Microsoft Outlook preferred · Strong creative ability to design and develop mechanical/electrical/electronic equipment Preferred Education/Experience:· Bachelor’s Degree in ME, EE,  or equal experience in related field · Knowledge of all Brands of compressors and applications of these compressor packages· Five to ten years designing and documenting mechanical/electrical/electronic equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
