Air Quality Specialist - Senior Level
Tetra Tech EM Inc. is seeking an experienced professional to be responsible for air quality tasks (studies, reports, permit applications, emissions and dispersion modeling, emission inventories, regulatory review/due diligence) on a variety of projects (petroleum, chemical, manufacturing, etc.). Position will be located in Houston, TX. The qualified candidate will work with and support Sr.-level air staff, and be responsible for technical leadership of air projects, including technical analyses, deliverables, quality assurance/quality control, and business development. The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing projects and growing the air service practice. This position is for a self-starter who does not require extensive supervision.
The qualified candidate position must have extensive experience in Texas New Source Review and Title V regulations, including permitting/modeling, emission calculations, reviewing meteorological data, and developing model inputs. The candidate must have 12+ years work experience in air quality consulting, including substantial air quality permitting expertise, and a proven track record for managing project and developing business in the energy, chemical, petrochemical, pipeline, oil & gas, and manufacturing markets. The qualified candidate must be familiar with stationary source permitting and state and federal air regulations. Experience with regulatory air quality dispersion modeling (ISCST, AERMOD, and CALPUFF), GIS, Visual Basic, and ACCESS are a plus. Must have experience working with Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT, Other essential capabilities include the ability to work independently, to communicate effectively, and to consistently produce an accurate and high-quality technical product. Proficiency with WordPerfect and Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access desirable. Must possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must also be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment. M.S. degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, meteorology or applied sciences. PhD degree a plus.
